The grapes processed at Poggio di Sotto could theoretically all be classified as Brunello.

The 2021 vintage of Rosso is essentially a graded Brunello. The winery carefully selects the more approachable Brunello barrels and uses them to produce its Rosso.

In the glass, a bright ruby red with very slight garnet reflections. A truly beautiful nose. Initially, plenty of floral notes and red fruit, violets and ripe raspberries.

In the excellent 2019 vintage, the grapes reached ideal ripeness, particularly in the single vineyard FIORE DEL VENTO. The wine displays a very vibrant, dark garnet color.

In the glass, a dark ruby red. On the nose, floral, almost light-footed. Light tobacco, tonka beans, sweet cherries, and a hint of kola nut.

Following the excellent 2018 vintage, 2019 was a truly outstanding year. Rainfall was not abundant, but it was evenly distributed across the various growing seasons.

2018 was a good vintage in Montalcino, but perhaps not a truly great one.

In 2017, the temperature differences between day and night remained significant, consistently between 12 and 15°C.

The year 2021 in Italy was a rollercoaster of extremes with exceptional weather events.

2017 is somewhat overshadowed by the two previous top vintages of 2015 and 2016. And it's true, 2017 was not an easy year for winemakers in Tuscany.

After the challenging 2017 vintage, 2018 was a 'normal' year in the Chianti region, without any real weather extremes.

Similar to the 2018 Riserva, Giovanni has fine-tuned the use of oak once again. Not necessarily less oak, but integrated with a touch more elegance than before.

The partial drying of the grapes, through natural aeration, results in concentrated aromas and firm tannins. After fermentation, the wine matures for over a year in wooden barrels.

A wine made using the original method: spontaneously fermented in the bottle, entirely without added sulfites, filtration, or any intervention.

Even the Romans considered Greco a special celebratory wine. Its invigorating acidity gives this white wine its distinctive character.

Dark red color with a nose of spicy notes and a hint of clove. On the palate, delicate aromas of black berries and a delightful spiciness.

A fruity and charming Merlot, easy-drinking and pleasing. It is fruit-forward and well-structured. A very drinkable wine and a perfect accompaniment to fine pasta or pizza.
