Location & Terroir Vineyard: The Geisenheimer Rothenberg was first mentioned by the noble Ruthard de Rothenberch in 1145.

2020 is a vintage of contrasts. The winter was exceptionally rainy and the spring was hot and humid.

In 2019, Fonroque's third wine is also a pure Merlot. However, the term "third wine" is misleading, as it does not express any value.

The white wine "Riesling feinherb" has a delicate and fruity character with an elegant interplay of acidity and residual sugar.

Our dry Riesling Flein is a delicate, fruity Riesling with harmonious fruit aromas. A harmonious interplay of sweetness and acidity caresses the palate in the finish.

The Cabernet Franc, which has been aged for 12 months in small oak barrels, reveals a wealth of aromas of black cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants and green pepper.

The Chardonnay from Aussières is only produced on a few hectares of vineyards. It shows beautiful harmony and fresh fruit.

The dry Trollinger red wine has a soft, balanced and mild character.

This beautiful, delicate straw-colored Chardonnay has citrus and white flowers in the glass, then turns to orange peel and melon.

Very typical dry Riesling. Hearty, fresh and clear, elegant with stimulating minerality. Wonderful wine for every day with not too high alcohol content and very fine acidity.

Finally, a pure Malbec from Bodegas CARO.

This Palatinate Pinot Blanc has a playful fruit aroma. Elegant restraint, as well as perfect acidity and body structure characterize this classic Pinot Blanc.

Subtly spicy nose with blackberries, cassis syrup and a hint of candied cherries.

The namesake emperor moth is a butterfly and also the largest Central European fritillary.

Vanilla pudding, toffee, some apple and roasted notes.

The Hallgarten soils reflect the terroir of the Taunus Mountains. These are the highest vineyards in the Rheingau. Slate and quartzite rock provide minerality par excellence.

Clear, slightly nutty, delicately smoky and a hint of herbal scent with yellow fruit and also a little mineral aromas.

Dark, spicy nose with blackcurrant, blackberry, dark sour cherry, some bitter chocolate, herbs and a hint of cold smoke.

This Pinot Blanc is characterized by graceful acidity and a fascinating aroma spectrum from apple to quince, honeydew melon and peach.

The composition impresses with its delicate sweetness and a fruity bouquet of pineapple and peach with spicy undertones and a persistent floral aroma.

The Calpazio mountain in Paestum guards the vines of Cannito, where a special Greco is produced in sunny southern locations.

The ‘San Giovanni della Sala’ is a beautiful cuvée with an extremely fine bouquet, characterized by pleasant notes of flowers and ripe fruit such as peach and pineapple.
