The nose is dominated by red berries, along with gentle scents of purple petals and rosebuds.

2016 is considered a great vintage in the Barolo area: a very even, almost ideal vegetation pattern in almost the entire production zone, which was seldom the case.

After the much too dry and hot 2017 vintage, 2018 saw adequate rainfall throughout the year, including snowfall in winter, a very rare weather phenomenon on the Tuscan coast.
