2016 is considered a great vintage in the Barolo area: a very even, almost ideal vegetation pattern in almost the entire production zone, which was seldom the case. Comparisons with the other big 6-year vintages 1996 and 2006 are often used. Of course, this also applies to Andrea Oberto's top location Rocche dell'Annunziata. Complex, varied nose with notes of tar, liquorice, dried plums and Brazilian tobacco. Nice acidity that brings in a lot of freshness despite the tremendous power of this wine. Very good tannin quality, fine-grained, still very taut at this stage, but we are still talking about a youthful wine with a aging potential of many years.
