Many people are prohibited from drinking alcohol for professional or health reasons. To ensure they don't have to miss out on the pleasure of a delicious glass of wine, Torres has undertaken extensive research to create an alcohol-free "wine" with maximum varietal aroma, richness, and freshness. With an innovative process for the gentle removal of alcohol from a classically vinified wine, Torres has achieved its goal! The Moscatel grapes for Torres' Natureo are harvested at optimal ripeness starting in September and are vinified exactly like a classic Torres white wine: All the harvested grapes are rigorously sorted, and only the best selected grapes are destemmed and crushed before being pressed. The must is then drawn off, gently clarified, and undergoes a cool fermentation process of approximately two weeks in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of 14 to 16 °C. So far, so good. But now, using an innovative dual process in rotating conical columns, the alcohol is carefully removed from the white wine. The result is a wine-based beverage with a full grape variety aroma, all natural vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals - only free (< 0.03%) of alcohol.
