The name ESCULPIDO (chiseled) refers to the impressive shapes and forms of some of the estate's oldest vines and are authentic living sculptures, redefined and polished through the passage of time. The wine is made from 100% Avesso grapes. The expansion in French barriques is noticeable in the nose, but not dominating. Aromas of mint, wild strawberries and wet stone are found as well as citrus aromas. Almost a little liqueur-like on the palate with traces of dried fruit and mineral, slightly salty notes. The wine shows how well a Vinho Verde can mature and is an exciting addition to the fresh MONÓLOGO wines.
