The Benedictine monks from Muri Abbey in Switzerland came to the canons' monastery, which was closed in 1806, in 1845. 30 hectares of the monastery's own viticulture form the basis for the quality wines of the Muri - Gries monastery winery.

The grapes for this fresh, fruity Pinot Blanc with finesse and structure come from the vineyards around Appiano. It is characterized by a play of acidity, fruit and body. Aromas of apple and pear, paired with a touch of spice.
