This aromatic variety was first planted in South Tyrol at the end of the 19th century and was then native almost exclusively to Terlano near Bolzano on volcanic sandy soils for decades. However, it also achieves good qualities on calcareous soils. The interplay of pebble and limestone terroirs determine the style of this wine. Color: bright, clear, light straw yellow with a greenish shimmer. Smell: finely aromatic, fresh, mineral, fruity, floral. Taste: medium body, harmonious, lively, fresh, fruity, juicy, dry.
