The grapes thrive on slopes between 250 and 400 meters above sea level. The vineyards have calcareous, loamy to gravelly loam soils and are exposed to significant temperature fluctuations between day and night. Above-average temperatures in spring encouraged earlier bud break. The sustained warm temperatures in May led to rapid flowering. Thanks to targeted work in the vineyard and occasional rain, the vines were kept in a stress-free state despite periods of extreme heat in the summer. The harvest began almost two weeks earlier than usual. Because the weather cooperated perfectly, grapes of outstanding quality were harvested throughout the entire harvest period. The red wines of the 2022 vintage are impressive; they benefit from a high degree of ripeness and develop complex fruit and a full flavor with robust aromas. The white wines exhibit pronounced, refined fruit with balanced acidity. Color: Pinot Grigio is usually called Ruländer in South Tyrol. Here, the grape variety brings alpine freshness to the glass.
