In the summer of 1993, the Buglioni family, a long-established family of restaurateurs, fulfilled a long-held dream and acquired an old farmstead and five hectares of vineyards and olive groves. Today, the size of the business has multiplied, but all of the vineyards owned by the Buglionis are located in the original zone of the Valpolicella Classico region, i.e. the hilly zone east of Lake Garda with the best locations in the Sant'Ambrogio plateau and the San Pietro valley. The only white wine produced by the Buglioni family from valuable native grape varieties. A mineral, fresh wine that is aged for just four months „sur lie“, i.e. on the yeast, in stainless steel tanks. It got its name, „The Desperate“, because no one could agree on a name for this wine, and in the end it became „The Desperate“ out of desperation. Colour: light straw yellow. Aroma: intense bouquet of tropical fruits such as pineapple. Taste: fresh, mild acidity, complex aroma of yellow fruits such as mango.
