The Girlan Winery Cooperative was founded in 1923 in a historic 16th-century farmhouse. At that time, 23 winegrowers laid the foundation for the operation as it exists today. Behind these traditional walls and in the extensive cellars lie modern cellar technology and optimal storage conditions for the wines. The winery was modernized in 2010 to meet current technical standards. Today, around 200 winegrowing families cultivate approximately 220 hectares of vineyards in the best locations of the Überetsch and Unterland regions with great dedication and motivation. Cellar Master Gerhard Koßer maintains close and personal contact with the winegrowers and advises them during the growing season. This exchange of experience is a crucial basis for the pursuit of the highest quality.
