Anne-Christin Trautwein's idea of Gutswein is unpretentious and down-to-earth: it should be solid, fresh and typical of the variety. Typical of the variety, uncomplicated enjoyment, but no fanfare. Meadow herbs and grated nuts on the nose, Williams pear, peach and tangerine on the palate, subtly creamy and with a really fresh acid structure. Mission accomplished, I would say.
