Straw yellow. The spicy scent of the oak barrel is harmoniously and subtly integrated into the yeast aromas and the white peach fruit. Full-bodied with power and pressure, it lingers on the palate with a light white pepper sharpness. The acidity and fine tannins dry out and echo softly and juicy. All in all, a very precise and potent wine and much more than just an estate wine. Location & Terroir Vineyard: Grapes grown from Pinot Blanc vines planted in 2002 in the Grand Cru Schönhell location. However, as the location is only approved for Riesling, our Pinot Blanc is properly "only" listed as an estate wine, but that does not change the quality of the grapes or the development, such as selective hand-picking, spontaneously fermented in single barrels and in new French barriques, matured on the full yeast until the summer after the harvest.
