The single vineyard Walsheimer Silberberg, with its high lime content in the soil, is an ideal location for growing Chardonnay vines. The wine was aged in small French oak barrels and has a complexity and variety of aromas that range from mango to yellow apple, quince and lemon to toasted brioche with toasted notes, nuts, vanilla and subtle wood tones as well as a fine note of flint. Highly complex and concentrated with rock minerality and light creaminess, this “flagship” from Karl Pfaffmann is a Chardonnay for special wine enjoyment moments.
