The Vom Vulkan Riesling is a purist wine with an expressive origin. The grapes for this VDP.Ortswein (regional wine) come 100% from the VDP.GROSSEN LAGE® (Grand Cru) vineyard Schlossböckelheimer Kupfergrube. After selective hand-harvesting, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and is then aged partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in oak barrels. On the nose, the Vom Vulkan presents its typical smoky character, along with flint, spicy-herbal notes and a complex minerality. On the palate, subtle citrus notes emerge, which are guided by the delicate acidity into a long, dry, and slightly saline finish.

The Riesling "Vom Vulkan" pairs well with roasted flavors – therefore, it is a good match for pan-seared meats or grilled fish.
