The delicate, slightly bitter notes of the white tea originate from the Yunnan mountain region in China, renowned for its exceptional tea quality thanks to its calcareous soils and clear mountain air. For the white tea, the young, unopened buds and the first leaves of the tea plant are harvested in spring. During production, the leaves are gently dried, minimizing oxidation of their natural enzymes, resulting in the fine, subtle flavor. The caffeine content is very low, making our Saveur virtually caffeine-free. The richness of the decaffeinated black tea from Sri Lanka lends this aperitif added complexity.
