An expressive Riesling from the famous steep slopes around Rüdesheim. The nose reveals notes of stone fruit and citrus, accompanied by fine herbal spice. On the palate the wine is taut and cool, with present, well-integrated acidity and distinct minerality. This Riesling impressively demonstrates the terroir-influenced style of the region. Stuart Pigott - For James Suckling 2025 Score: 95 Although this is still very youthful, the peach and wet-stone aromas are already stunning. So juicy and so structured on the focused, medium-bodied palate. Terrific energy in the very long, straight finish. A cuvée of wines from the GG sites Berg Roseneck, Berg Rottland and Kirchenpfad. Drinkable now, but best from 2026. Screw cap. Location & Terroir Vineyard & Terroir: Our Rüdesheimer Riesling is vinified as a VDP.ORSTWEIN from the two VDP.GROSSEN LAGEN BERG ROTTLAND and KIRCHENPFAD vineyards, and the VDP.ERSTE LAGE BISCHOFSBERG. The combination of the higher Kirchenpfad vineyards (up to 208 meters above sea level), with their good water retention and permeable soils, and the Bischofsberg and Berg Rottland vineyards, with their quartzite and slate soils, and their direct proximity to the Rhine, creates a classic mountain wine—expressive yet with a cool note even in warmer years. Matured in mature 1,200-liter wooden barrels with extended lees aging, our Rüdesheimer has great aging potential at GG level.
