Location & Terroir Vineyard & Terroir: Our Rüdesheimer Riesling is vinified as VDP.ORSTWEIN from the two VDP.GROSSEN LAGEN BERG ROTTLAND and KIRCHENPFAD and the VDP.ERSTE LAGE BISCHOFSBERG. The combination of the higher Kirchenpfad (up to 208 meters above sea level) with its good water retention capacity and permeable soils and the Bischofsberg and Berg Rottland with their quartzite and slate soils and the direct proximity to the Rhine creates a classic mountain wine - expressive and with a cool note even in warm years. Matured in mature 1,200 liter wooden barrels with long yeast storage, our Rüdesheimer has great aging potential at GG level.
