The grapes come from red sandstone soils around Deidesheim, Ruppertsberg and Forst. Three places that make every Riesling friend’s heart beat faster. Most of the aging takes place in large wooden barrels and, together with a long period of yeast storage, gives the wine both depth and elegance. The Buntsandstein is the defining rock of the Mittelhaardt and ensures a fine minerality on the palate. The nose is classic, that is, characterized by apricots, peaches and mirabelle plums. In the mouth there is a fine interplay of balanced acidity and wonderful fruit aromas.
