The Stettener Stein location forces the vines to have deep roots, ideal conditions for the Riesling grape variety, which needs exactly such conditions to produce really great wines. The Knoll family is rightly particularly proud of the Riesling from the 2021 vintage; in their opinion, it is the largest Riesling ever produced in the winery! We don't want to contradict that. Still reserved on the nose with subtle aromas of salted lemons and some quince, you think you can sense the minerality, which is not per se, in the nose. On the palate it has a firm, crisp acidity that is never overpowering and serves as the backbone for the strong body with a light green texture. Very complex with many facets, it is still at the very beginning of a great development.
