The 2022 vintage went down in history as the warmest summer since weather records began. So it was interesting to see how this affected the wine vintage. Top winemakers like the Kühns in particular show that the good producers have now adapted well to these extremes. Comparisons with the exceptionally hot and ultimately disappointing year of 2003, which was ultimately disappointing in terms of wine, have fortunately not come true. Extremely selective work in the vineyard and cellar was important. The high-altitude, comparatively cool Hendelberg site obviously coped well with the conditions. A wine with high tension and mineral radiance. The nose is currently dominated by citrus aromas supported by herbs and green tea. Beautifully creamy on the palate with a vibrant elegance, lots of minerality and coolness.
