As always, the nose is very elegant and calm, but despite the rather cooler vintage it has an impressive inner tension. The stony and barren character of the Hendelberg is even more evident this year. Aromas of oyster shell, orange zest and graphite characterize the first impression; with a little air, notes of bergamot, thyme and also biscuit are added. It has a silky flow and is a prime example of a Rheingauriesling characterized by minerality.
