What is always fascinating about the wines from Kühn is the rarely encountered range of soils: quartzite on the Doosberg, calcareous loess loam on the Sankt Nikolaus and slate on the Hendelberg. Correspondingly, the minerality always seems a bit friendlier here than, for example, with the sometimes quite strict St. Nicholas.
