BERG ROTTLAND is a steep slope with a gradient of over 30% on the western outskirts of Rüdesheim, near the Binger Loch. The optimal microclimate with high amounts of light and radiation always ensures great ripeness. The location on the Rüdesheimer Berg has been one of the best in the Rheingau for many generations. Particularly concentrated wines are produced here in terms of fruit ripeness and minerality. Still reserved on the nose, citrus aromas such as grapefruit and orange dominate, with floral aromas and gooseberries in the background. Wiry on the palate with a vibrant minerality and almost a little salty. Very profound, it does not yet reveal all its secrets at first sip. One for the long haul.
