The Ölberg is characterised by limestone marl. Due to its special orientation, cold air from the Palatinate Forest comes in every morning and evening, which gives the wine its freshness and sophisticated elegance. The saltiness and pressure of this location are further enhanced by a long full yeast storage in large wooden barrels. The defining rock here is also limestone marl and red sandstone. Lots of stone fruit on the nose, such as apricot and mirabelle plum. In the mouth, a slightly salty note paired with plenty of juiciness, fine melting, harmonious balance and plenty of power. A real Palatinate wine!
