The Große Lage Klamm is located in the immediate vicinity of the Hermannshöhle. The
very old name Klamm describes the landscape and means a cut
into the rocks of the mountain. The vineyards here are among the steepest in the whole
Nearby area. The soils are extremely rich in rock - mostly porphyry
mixed with slate elements. Very elegant Riesling with a
pronounced fine acid fruit of citrus and peach.
Age of the vines 15 - 35 years
Yield approx. 40 hl/ha
100% selective handpicking
Fermentation and maturation in stainless steel and large oak barrels.
