Located above the Kestener Paulinshofberg and in a direct extension of the Brauneberger Juffer, is the south-southeast-facing steep slope "Monzeler Katzen". The few hectares of the classified, old heart extend about 160-200 meters above the Moselle and are characterized by a finely divided topsoil, as well as blue slate, clay slate and a small proportion of loess. Since the willow catkins have always bloomed early in this particularly warm microclimate and the brightly shining vineyards could be seen from afar as a herald of spring, the location was given the name "kitten". These old vines in the best parts of the site have deep roots in the fine, stony soil and produce a mineral, very elegant wine with both yellow fruit aromas and floral nuances. In the bouquet fine aromas of yellow fruits, lychee and nuances reminiscent of flowers. Very charming on the tongue, ripe tropical fruit paired with stone fruit and fresh herbs. An elegant, mineral aftertaste with juicy quince and cool slate.
