Wonderfully balanced and yet full of excitement. In addition, the minerality typical of the Doctor makes this wine shine and predicts great aging potential. Location & Terroir Vineyard: The legendary Bernkasteler Doctor rises with its steep slope directly above Bernkastel at an altitude of 125 to 200 meters above sea level. According to legend, it got its name from Archbishop Boemund II, who, having healed from a serious illness, described this situation as the "true Doctor". Internationally, Doctor wines are always at the very top. With 3.26 ha one of the smallest individual vineyards in Germany. Terroir: Weathered Devonian shale soil.
