This truly exceptional Chardonnay comes from the Haardter Herzog and Mandelring vineyards with their limestone marl soils. Aging for around 6 months in 2- to 3-layer barriques ensures a nice creaminess and fine spice. The nose is complex with aromas of pears, ripe apples, vanilla and tropical fruits. Complex on the palate with a lot of fullness, pronounced saltiness, a touch of brioche and very delicate roasted aromas that support the wine. An impressive intensity rounds the whole thing off to a great finish.
