This wine comes from the Grand Cru vineyard Ollwiller, one of the oldest Grand Crus in Alsace. The vines grow on calcareous sandy soils with a perfect southern exposure. After careful harvesting, the Riesling is fermented in large Spessart oak barrels and aged for about a year. Subsequent bottle aging adds further roundness and complexity.
