A very small single vineyard located on a hill of the Corton and shared between Chanson and the Hospices de Beaune. The vineyard once belonged to Charles Gravier, Count of Vergennes, a Dijon-born advisor to Louis XVI. Count of Vergennes signed the treaty of alliance between France and the United States with Benjamin Franklin. With this treaty, France became the first country in the world to recognize the United States of America. Bright golden color. Floral scents mixed with aromas of citrus and green almond with a hint of minerality. Lively attack. Well balanced with a deep and taut texture. Precise, taut with a well-formed acidity. Long and refined finish with a hint of salinity.
