Assyrtiko is one of Greece's most exciting indigenous white wine grape varieties. Likely originating from the island of Santorini and the surrounding islands, it is exceptionally well adapted to a hot and dry climate. Rémy Soulié and Peter Riegel are convinced that Assyrtiko will also find ideal conditions in the increasingly hot and dry climate of the Saint-Chinian region. Their very first vintage proves them right. The wine displays typical varietal freshness and vibrant acidity, impresses with its substance and length, and remains consistently harmonious and balanced. Even the young vines produce a remarkably characterful wine.
