The first Vin Jaune under the Pelican label is still a while away. Now, however, the precursor is coming onto the market, which matured for around five years under flor yeast instead of the usual almost seven years for Vin Jaune. This wine is characterized by its intense aroma, which is characterized by nutty and spicy notes such as fresh maggi herb, iron root, roasted nuts and green walnut, complemented by rich yellow fruit accents. The spice is in the foreground, while Pelican offers a finer note in the oxidative area, typical of the expertise of Burgundy winemakers.
