Launched in 1987 as Cabernet Sauvignon and the first Chilean premium wine, Montes Alpha now stands for a whole range of premium wines. Montes Alpha Chardonnay comes from the coastal area of Aconcagua. The different soils and cool Pacific breezes give the grapes here particularly intense, finely nuanced aromas while preserving their lively acidity. Montes skilfully brings this fullness and freshness to the bottle. The grapes are hand-picked early in the morning, pressed directly or cold mashed, the musts fermented in barrels or tanks and around a third of the wine matured in French oak. The result is simply stunning! Juicy, complex and lively, with a perfect balance of rich exotic fruit and elegant barrique notes. Super long - with potential.
