The Sprinzenberg site can already be found on the oldest maps of the region. The Maier family has always cultivated this vineyard, which is located right next to the farm. Here, crystalline granulite weathered soil is overlaid with sandy elements. The Riesling grown here owes its unbelievable minerality to the extremely barren soil. After aging in steel tanks, it is stored on the full yeast until February. Fine stone fruits of peach and Mirabelle plums on the nose, but also a delicate scent of flowers. Mountain herbs are added on the palate, wonderfully juicy with animating acidity. The mineral finesse provides a lot of depth. Austria can also do Riesling!
