The harvest of an ice wine is always the culmination of the wine year. At harvest there must be at least -7°C. Due to climate change, this is becoming less and less the case in wine-growing regions, making ice wine a rare specialty. The Silvaner from the Wonnegau area comes from the Goldberg vineyard. The loess soil comes from wind-deposited calcareous dust during the ice ages and typically produces yellow-fruity aromas. Intense nose of apricot, orange and passion fruit. Concentrated, beguiling fruit sweetness on the palate. The delicious frozen berry extract provides a dense, multi-layered texture. Promises exciting treats and a long shelf life. As it matures, the sweetness recedes, making room for even more complexity and excitement.
