The vines don't have it easy in the Jumilla region. Barren soils and extremely little rainfall only allow for low yields. The reward is depth of flavor and concentration, as long as the winemaker manages to keep the alcohol levels in check. That has worked well here. The wine matures for two years in large wooden barrels (MADERA). Concentrated aromas of dried, dark fruits and dark chocolate on the nose. Smooth and rich on the palate at the same time, reminiscent of grandmother's rum pot.
