In the Ribera del Duero region, the otherwise often somewhat rustic Tempranillo grape develops a concentrated fruitiness that is not found in any other region of Spain in this form. Not jammy, but beguiling and perfectly accompanied by fine tannins, strong structure and elegance, as well as an exciting touch of wildness. Intense, almost balsamic nose of ripe berries, rum topf, black cherries and some dark chocolate. Unusually juicy on the palate for a Reserva and very balanced despite the power. A gentle giant! Ribera at its best.
