The bottle is inspired by the so-called "Mallet" bottles that became established in England around 1750. The limited special edition marries a selection of the finest Tawnys that mature in the Taylor's Lodges in their old port wine barrels, developing the fullness that is characteristic of Taylor's with the distinctive taut finish. The blend reflects their unique character: perfectly balanced and harmonious with all the intensity and finesse that the long maturation in the oak barrel gives them. Deep reddish-brown color with a narrow, brick-red rim. Ripe, lush and complex on the nose. Warm notes of coffee, cream caramel, dried fruit, plums and raisins merge with nutty and spicy aromas, delicate wood notes and floral hints that subtly underline the seductive fullness of the bouquet.
