Testone (in German: Dickkopf) has actually already mutated into a cult wine. Marco uses fully ripe grapes from a top vineyard near Monforte for this pure Merlot. The grapes are mashed without destemming, i.e. with the styles. After a standing time of around three weeks, the young wine is pressed and aged in new barriques for around 18 months. An exciting interpretation of an "international" grape variety with a clearly Piedmontese character and a real rarity! Color: dark cherry red. Scent: intensely of sweet cherries. Taste: full and juicy, fine acidity, lots of fruit, great structure.
