A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and sometimes a small portion of Petit Verdot, expressing the elegance, complexity, and structure of the Bolgheri terroir. Guado al Tasso has been produced since 1990; the clay-sand to clay-silt soils of the vineyards are of alluvial origin with a Bolgherese agglomerate (skeleton). The Guado al Tasso vineyards are located at the foot of the amphitheater, and at night, cool air descends from the hills, refreshing the rows of vines. These special climatic conditions impart a distinctive aroma to the berries and ensure their perfect ripeness.
