The interaction with winegrowers from all over the world, such as the legendary pioneer of American viticulture Robert Mondavi and several castle owners from Bordeaux, gave Alois Lageder the impetus in the 1980s to grow Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot in trellises in this location, which was originally planted with the Vernatsch vine to introduce. In 1986, the first larger vineyard was planted in dense planting on a wire frame in South Tyrol, which caused great debate. This plot, which has been called “Heart” (Latin: Cor) since ancient times, gives the wine its name. Color: cherry red color with ruby red reflections. Smell: concentrated aroma, fruit aroma (cherry, cassis), spicy and floral notes. Taste: powerful body, elegant, rich in tannins, spicy, fresh.
