The grape variety Canaiolo is mostly known as a cuvée partner of the grape variety Sangiovese. La Lastra impressively shows how exciting it can be as a pure variety. Fine bouquet of blueberries, sour cherries and black pepper. Elegant on the palate, almost graceful with notes of liquorice and silky tannins. A really fine wine with a very individual aroma. A real discovery!
