The Brunello vineyard of Il Marroneto, located at 400 meters above sea level, is characterized by unique conglomerate soils with mineral-rich, sandy alluvial soils from prehistoric times. The mash is fermented in stainless steel tanks, with the contents being periodically pumped around (reassembly). Further aging takes place in large oak barrels for around 39 months, followed by ten months of bottle aging. A great Brunello, classic in expression, but still modern in style. Color: dense garnet red. Scent: cherries, violets, delicately spicy. Taste: ripe black cherry, complex, mineral, long finish.
