The Barolo BG, produced for the first time with the 2010 vintage, comes from the Garetti vineyard, a plot of the Crulage Campé in Grinzane Cavour. However, the Botte Grande was not aged in barriques as usual at La Spinetta, but in large 3000 liter oak barrels made of Allie oak, hence the name "Botte Grande" (=large barrel). It has the typical dense and complex signature of Giorgio Rivetti, but has a more typical and classic Nebbiolo characteristic. Nevertheless, it is of a modern style in terms of purity and mild tannin structure. Color: Ruby red with a dense core. Scent: Red berries, flowers, hints of spices. Taste: Dense, full-bodied, complex, good tannin structure.
