Giorgio's Barbera is simply world-class. A deep, multifaceted wine with incredible fruit concentration, made from grapes from very old vines in a prime location where Nebbiolo can normally be grown for Barbaresco. It matures for 16 months in new barriques. Color: deep ruby, with a hint of violet. Aroma: broad, with notes of berries, blackcurrant, and vanilla. Palate: great structure, racy acidity, soft tannins.
