Only 100 hectares of the once stately growing area of Rapsani have remained on the slopes of Mount Olympus. Fortunately, some very good and successful Greek winemakers have rediscovered the region. Xinomavro ensures a lot of tension and freshness in the wine and a very good shelf life. A variety that has a future in the face of climate change, even if the direct translation, sour and black, doesn't sound too inviting at first. In combination with Stavrato and Krassato, it is well balanced with a cool Burgundian note and a lot of elegance. Nice purple, fresh, cool, red fruit, currant and spicy notes of cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. Exciting and demanding.
