With more than 300 autochthonous grape varieties in Greece, it is not surprising that the red Mandilari is not known outside the country. Unfortunately, the area under cultivation is also shrinking here, although it is one of the most exciting varieties in terms of taste. She feels particularly comfortable on Crete. Nice aromas of violets and blackberries on the nose, but also some leather and sandalwood. Aromas of mountain herbs and malt are added in the mouth. The ripe tannins are round and well integrated. Overall finely balanced with a long and playful finish.
