The next generation is setting the next milestone at the Weingut am Stein. The young wild ones, including daughter Antonia Knoll, are taking care of the winery's new red wines with the same dedication and professionalism as Sandra and Ludwig Knoll. The top location Innere Leiste is not only home to excellent Riesling, but also to excellent Pinot Noir. Innere Leiste is a perfect mix of two opposing influences. On the one hand, there is the heat that rises up from the city's valley basin. On the other hand, there are the cold north winds, which are mitigated by the forest, but still ensure cool nights, which allow the grapes to retain their fresh acidity. The wine is 100% matured in barriques. On the nose, sour cherries and currants pair with subtle roasted aromas and delicate hints of vanilla. On the palate, a strong tannin structure with nuances of coffee and dark chocolate. A full-bodied wine with a long finish.
