The Zellertal Pinot Noir grows in select parcels within the Klosterstück vineyard. These vineyards are situated on a high plateau above Zell at an altitude of nearly 300 meters. The soil is characterized by clay and a solid limestone bedrock. Thanks to consistent winds and loosely packed grape bunches, we can rely on exceptionally healthy grapes every year.

Vintage

The grapes were harvested after a pre-selection process, yielding 5,000 liters per hectare. Following a two-week maceration, the wine was transferred to barriques. It then aged on the lees for 14 months before bottling.

Wine

This Pinot Noir boasts a very clear, mineral style. The nose is immediately greeted by subtle aromas of light red cherry with a delicate hint of oak. The tannins settle on the palate, accompanied by hints of wild herbs and earthy notes. This combination gives it an incredible tension that remains long after the sip.
